  • Foster Program

We as breeders have numerous dogs, I personally believe no dog should ever be a kennel dog and should live in a home where it is loved and part of the family. Therefore we offer a Foster program.

What is a Foster program?

Well these are dogs, usually puppies that we would like to carry on the lineage in our breeding program. But because of the number of dogs that can stay in our homes as family members, and still get the time for individual attention, we foster out some of our puppies.
As a foster home, this is a lifetime commitment to a dog. When there is a puppy available for fostering we contact people who have been interested in doing this and match up puppies to homes. This is no different than buying a puppy, other then you are not paying anything for it. You take the puppy home and it is your dog. You raise it in your home and you are responsible for its care just like you bought it. Once the pup turns one year old it will need to come back to get some health clearances done and be evaluated. If all the clearances are good and we feel that it is a good example of the breed than we continue to move forward. If for any reason we feel that this is a great pet but not breeding stock then we just sign the puppy over and it becomes your dog and our contract is complete. If all is well then we would continue and you would be responsible to let me know whenever the dog has a heat cycle, so we can plan for breedings. Although you are responsible to the day to day care of the animal, I am responsible and cover any and all cost due to breeding.
When it is time to finally breed, you would be expected to bring me the dog and it would stay for a few days while we breed. Once that is done the dog would go back home. A dogs Gestation period is 60 days, so about a week before she is due she would come back home to have her pups. She would stay with me approx 6 weeks until the pups are weaned and then she would go back home.
Once she is retired from breeding, I sign over the paperwork and she belongs to you. If she has been used in the breeding program and has produced pups then i cover the cost of having her spayed.

That is the basics of it. Of course if you are interested in fostering please feel free to contact me and we can discus it in more detail.

We have a few pups that are looking for foster homes at this time. Both Bulldogs and Frenchies
